1303 Death of Daniel of Moscow, the founder of the dynasty of Moscow princes, who put much effort into the aggrandizement of Moscow. A skilled diplomat, he expanded his possessions at the expense of the Ryazan Principality, annexed Pereyaslavl-Zalessky with the parish. His son Yuri becomes the Moscow prince.
In 1304, Mikhail Yaroslavich Tverskoy became Grand Duke of Vladimir. The beginning of the seventy-year struggle for the grand ducal title between Tver and Moscow.
1317 Yuri Daniilovich of Moscow marries Konchak (Agafya), the sister of the Horde Khan Uzbek and receives a label for the grand duchy.
1318 Mikhail Tverskoy defeats the army of Yuri of Moscow and takes his wife prisoner, then he is accused of poisoning the sister of the great khan and executed in the Horde. Yuri's label for the Grand duchy is confirmed by the Khan.

1327. An uprising in Tver against the Mongol-Tatars, the Horde army with the assistance of Moscow suppresses it. Alexander Tverskoy flees to Lithuania.
1328-1340 The Great Reign of Ivan Kalita, who played a significant role in the unification of Russian lands around Moscow. During his reign, the military-political and economic rise of Moscow began. After the death of Ivan Kalita, the princely throne is occupied by his son Semeon the Proud, who united the Moscow and Vladimir principalities in his power.
1348-1349 Campaign of the Swedish King Mangus against Novgorod. The Swedes took the fortress of Oreshek, but soon the Novgorod army recaptured it and destroyed the remaining Swedish detachments there.
1353 Simeon the Proud dies of the plague, in his will he calls on his heirs to obey Bishop Alexy of Vladimir, the title of Grand Duke passes to Simeon's brother Ivan the Red.

1392-Sergius of Radonezh, one of the most revered and respected church leaders of Russia, dies.
1392-1393 The Suzdal-Nizhny Novgorod Principality is attached to Moscow.
1395 Timur's army on the Terek River defeats Tokhtamysh's army. Then it moves north and ravages the outskirts of Ryazan land. On the banks of the Oka River, the Russian regiments of Vasily I Dmitrievich and the Mongol-Tatar army faced each other for two weeks, after which Timur suddenly left the borders of Russia.
