A LITTLE PRINCESS [ОБРАЗЕЦ БИОГРАФИЧЕСКОГО ЭССЕ]

This is a story about a young girl Olga, who lives with her family in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Now Olga is only 18, but she has already done the first important steps to success and prosperity. Her life way is not very long, but rather interesting and very exciting.

One day, in 1983, the happiness came again to the home of a usual Belorussian family: on the 21st of March the youngest child was born. Parents decided to call a little girl Olga, in a honour of a famous Belorussian princess.

Parents were right. The girl looked like a little princess: she was very-very pretty and had an extraordinary “royal” character. From 1989 till 2000 Olga studied at secondary school #42 in Minsk. She was very good in math, economics, English, and computer science. Moreover, during studying at school our little princess attended additional math and accounting courses. In the 10th and 11th forms she was the winner in math, physics and computer science school competitions, so called “school Olympiads”. Olga was an active modern girl and, of course, she was a member of various youth organizations, such as Belorussian Youth Union and Belorussian Patriotic Youth Organization. The princess also was fond of sport and her team (she was the captain) took the first place at the region volleyball youth Championship’1999. But her favorite kinds of sport were tennis and swimming. So, Olga was an excellent pupil. Teachers loved her; her classmates respected her. Olga finished secondary school with a Golden Medal, and her school was proud of her.

Knowledge at school helped Olga to become a student of the best university in Belarus, the European Humanities University |EHU|. During post-USSR period Belorussian economy was very weak: a large inflation and a deep crises weakened it. And because of this Olga decided to enter to the Economy Department of EHU. After the 1st semester she passed her exams successfully. Now she continues to study different subjects with a great pleasure, especially German, English, math and economics. Moreover, Olga has good computer skills: she works in the Net, uses Word’2000, Excel’2000 and other important computer programs without any problems.

As a real princess Olga likes traveling. For Olga a long voyage to abroad is a good possibility to meet new interesting people, to investigate unusual countries and, of course, it is a good life experience and an excellent language practice.

Olga has a lot of hobbies. As we have already noted, she enjoys swimming, playing volleyball, tennis; and also she keen on dancing. Moreover, Olga is fond of gardening: it is a great pleasure for her to grow bright beautiful plants herself and to care of them.

So, as you see, our 18-yars princess is a young, but very interesting and experienced girl with good skills and concrete life aims. Of course, a bit later she would be “on the top of the world”. And let’s wish her good luck in this life!
